R is an Open Source (Free) statistical package that is used by various departments in Manor Road. Notably the Oxford Q-Step programe teaches R.

As R is open source and available for multiple platforms the best option is to run the software on your own device (or department laptop).

Install R itself FIRST and then install the R Studio development environment:

• R Project for the essential installation.
• Download link.
• The R Project also provide a GUI/Development Environment for R called R Studio. It is a recommended install alongside R.
