Printing: AnywherePrint driver installation
FOR WINDOWS USERS:
Download and install the Generic Plus PCL6 Printer Driver V1.30 Printer Driver from the link below:
Install the correct driver for your system type.
To identify the correct driver for your system go to - Control Panel > System and Security > System. Check the information under "System Type". Devices less than 5 years old are probably running Windows x64.
When asked to install the printer Choose the Custom option.
Click Next , choose “NUL” port from the dropdown, Click Next again, confirm the details and then click Start
On completion, open Devices and Printers and DELETE the printer named Canon Generic Plus PCL6 Printer.
Proceed to http://AnywherePrint.socsci.ox.ac.uk:7290 LOG IN with your SOCSCI credentials and follow the installation instructions.
When prompted to Select Destination Printer choose SecurePrint.
FOR MAC USERS:
Download and INSTALL the PS Printer Driver & Utilities for Macintosh V4.12.0 Printer Driver from the link below:
Mac Driver (older)
Go to http://AnywherePrint.socsci.ox.ac.uk:7290 LOG IN with your SOCSCI credentials, CLICK ON THE DRIVER PRINT TAB, choose your operating system and follow the installation instructions until you are prompted to Select Destination Printer - choose SecurePrint-Mac as shown below
Install the printer as instructed, you will then be asked to choose from an extensive list of installed print drivers, choose Canon iR-ADV C7260/7270 PS to complete the installation (do not tick Duplex Printing Unit if offered).
