The IT Team provide a number of high-level services like Print, Networking, Access to Software, AV systems and so on. Behind these services is a catalog of infrastructure configuration items that enable it. The Infrastructure, Operations and Support team - the people in the 'IT Office' or manning the 'Helpdesk' - are responsible for this. The high level service areas are:
- Support (Service Desk & related activity).
- Projects (gathering requirements, securing funding, arhitecting, designing and deploying new services).
- Maintenance (ensuring it all runs).
- Service Management (overarching service lifecycle management and strategic planning).
